As the days get longer and the first shoots of spring emerge from the soil, come and step through the portal into the February workshop.
October - Coughs colds and flu part 1
This workshop focuses on how to use natural medicine and supplements to strengthen our immune system against seasonal colds and flu and how we can support our body for optimum health and resilience. We will be opening the kitchen cupboard to look at virus busting spiced drinks, making fire cider vinegars, as well as making a wartime Rosehip syrup. We will also be looking at how vitamin and mineral supplements can help. We sit in the beautiful autumn grounds of Towneley Hall, Lancashire and discuss herbal strategies for working with seasonal colds, flu sore throats and fevers.
November workshop - coughs, cold and flu part 2
Managing seasonal coughs
Join us in the magic garden by the woodstove as we make cough syrups, a Thyme chest rub and guide you through the best ways of managing seasonal coughs. Our Key herbs for this month to learn about are Angelica, Elecampane, Marshmallow and Thyme. The zoom call is on Saturday 21st November at 11am.
December Workshop: Fire in the Belly
Learn how to keep the digestive tract healthy, managing common digestive ailments. We learn how to make Sauerkraut, brines, Slippery elm lozenges, Herbal Chai tea, a digestive tincture. The Key herbs for this month are Dandelion root, meadowsweet and Fennel.
January Workshop; Deep Winter Calm
Come and join us to spend time chilling out with some of the most calming herbal allies around. This month we treat you with 2 zoom calls as well as relaxing recipes for a soothing bath salts, vitality (love) balls, aroma stix, a calming glycerite and body butter.
